Failed brake switch...(Land Rover Discovery 1)

As we started the trip I couldn't get my trailer brakes to work. Turns out that the switch that activates my brake lights gave up, and that circuit needed to be on to activate the trailer brake inertia sensor! Despite trying to fix the broken part with super glue, we couldn't get it working again (maybe too much super glue on the electrical contacts) and had no choice but to carry onwards.

LR3 Flat Tire...no surprise really.

Hobie bought this truck used and had three days to prepare for this event. He added sliders and a roof rack. We hope he adds some real all-terrain tires soon because these highway tires are just not up to the task!

Bride Canyon at Night - Campsite 5

This is an interesting picture because it represents the maximum capability of my Nikon D5200 without having a remote programmable shutter. This was an experiment, 5000 ISO (I could have tried 6000), and 30 sec exposure at an aperature of 3.5 (I think). Good bit of noise but pretty darn cool. It was pitch black at the time the photo was taken, with just the light of the moon and stars.
